Its Summer Break!
A quick update from summer break — family time, a retro caravan, mixed weather, and a few Ninjadoodle ideas quietly taking shape.
It’s summer here, and we’re on a bit of a break with family.
Camping (in our retro caravan), sun and waves — with rain, wind and cold thrown in for good measure — has been doing a decent job of encouraging our busy minds to relax a little… but not too much.
That kind of in-between state seems to be where ideas like to sneak in.
Being away from desks, routines and screens (at least some of the time) has given us a bit of space to think differently about what we’re building. Not in a big, dramatic way — just in a more relaxed, open-ended one.
We’ve sketched out a new game based around shape play, leaning into exploration rather than instructions. It’s the kind of learning that feels more subtle — very Ninjadoodle — where kids are playing first and figuring things out as they go.
We’ve also planned a new ClickPlay game that will be published at launch and stay free, always. Something playful and welcoming, and very much in the spirit of the early Ninjadoodle games.
And then there are a few other ideas bubbling away — small but exciting additions to the learning world we’re slowly putting together. They’re less about adding more and more about adding, more classic Ninjadoodle and its learning by stealth approach.
We’re keeping those ones close to our chest for now.
Not because we’re being mysterious on purpose — just because some things are nicer when they’re allowed to take shape quietly before being shared. We can’t spill all our secrets at once.
For now, we’re enjoying the mix of summer days, family time, and ideas drifting in and out — and feeling good about what’s coming next.
To help warm your toes, here's a picture from todays walk, just up the hill from our camp site. Its a view we look forward to all year!

More soon, Charlene.
