Its Summer Break!
A quick update from summer break — family time, a retro caravan, mixed weather, and a few Ninjadoodle ideas quietly taking shape.
It’s summer here, and we’re on a bit of a family break.
Camping in our retro caravan, chasing sun and waves — with a fair share of rain, wind, and cold thrown in for balance — has been doing a pretty good job of slowing things down. Not completely, but just enough.
That in-between state is often where ideas like to slip in.
Being away from desks, routines, and screens (at least some of the time) has given us a little space to think differently about what we’re building. Nothing dramatic — just a looser, more open-ended kind of thinking.
One of the things we’ve been sketching is a new game built around shape play — something that leans into exploration rather than instructions. The kind of experience where kids are simply playing, moving things around, testing ideas… and figuring it out as they go. Very Ninjadoodle.
We’ve also been planning a new ClickPlay game that will launch alongside the site and stay free, always. Something playful and welcoming, and very much in the spirit of the early Ninjadoodle games.
Beyond that, there are a few other ideas quietly bubbling away. Small additions, but exciting ones — less about adding more, and more about adding more Ninjadoodle. The kind of ideas that feel familiar, a little unexpected, and best allowed to take shape without too much noise.
We’re keeping those ones close for now.
Not because we’re trying to be mysterious — just because some things are nicer when they’re given room to form before being shared. We can’t spill all our secrets at once.
For now, we’re enjoying the rhythm of summer days, family time, and ideas drifting in and out — and feeling good about what’s taking shape next.
Ill leave you with a view from one of our holiday walks. And also - wear sunscreen!

More soon, Charlene.
